Kay has been a member of MacDonald Hoague & Bayless since 1985, after clerking for Washington State Supreme Court Justices Robert F. Utter and William Callow.  Her practice focuses on employment, discrimination, sexual harassment, and civil rights at the trial and appellate levels, and immigration.  Kay has represented private and public sector employees throughout Washington in state and federal court, and has litigated several federal civil rights class actions.  Kay has been a frequent speaker at employment law seminars and has served on the Employment Law Subcommittee of the Washington Supreme Court Committee on Jury Instructions.
