University of Oregon, 2004; Oregon Law Review, Executive Editor; Moot Court Board; extern, U.S. District Court of Oregon.  Katie is presently developing a practice in employment and civil rights litigation.  Prior to joining MH&B, she chaired the Lane County Employment Law Committee and Oregon New Lawyers Division Law School Outreach Committee.  She also served on the Head Start Board of Directors.  Katie has a demonstrated interest in social justice, which she cultivated in law school through internships with the Federal Defender, the San Francisco Public Defender, and the Domestic Violence Clinic.  Also in law school, Katie won the University of Oregon mock trial and appellate advocacy competitions and was a regional finalist in the 2003 National Appellate Advocacy Competition.  She is the recipient of the 2006 Oregon State Bar New Lawyer Member Service Award.  She is admitted to the Oregon State Bar, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the U.S. District Court of Oregon, and the Western and Eastern U.S. District Courts in Washington (pro hac vice).  Katie is a member of the Washington Employment Lawyers Association.
