Tim is involved in civil and criminal litigation in state and federal courts in Washington, six federal Courts of Appeal and the Supreme Court of the United States. He has been President of the Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (1994-95) and is an Eagle member of the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association. He received a Thurgood Marshall Award from the Association of the Bar of New York in 1998, the Courageous Award from the Washington State Bar Association in 1995, the William O. Douglas Award from the Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers in 1992, and a Civil Libertarian Award from the ACLU of Washington in 1982. Tim is listed in the "Best Lawyers in America" and is a member of the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers.
