B.A. University of Chicago 1966; J.D. University of Washington 1969. Dan's practice emphasizes immigration law and litigation. He has litigated civil and criminal cases in state and federal trial and appellate courts, including the Supreme Court of the United States.  He has written and lectured nationally and in Canada on immigration issues. Dan is a past president of the Washington State Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and of the Seattle Chapter of the National Lawyers Guild.  Dan has been a member and Chair of the Boards of Northwest Immigrant Rights Project and the National Immigration Project of the NLG, and on the Amicus Curiae committee of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Dan has been listed in all editions of "The Best Lawyers in America" in the field of immigration law. He is available for consultation with other attorneys on complex immigration issues, on the immigration aspects of criminal cases, and to accept referrals on business, family, asylum and citizenship applications and appeals.
