NPAP provides essential support to a network of over 500 civil rights attorneys that file thousands of lawsuits against police departments, jails and prisons, holding officers accountable for misconduct. Beyond the courtroom, NPAP helps to shape laws and work with communities to drive real change. NPAP’s legislative advocacy pushes for accountability and reform at every level of government, while its partnerships with grassroots organizations ensure that those most impacted by police violence have a voice. By providing litigation, policy reform and community engagement, NPAP is not just addressing police misconduct – its changing the systems that allow it to happen and working toward a future where every community is protected from abuse. Lauren is honored to join the esteemed Board of Directors to continue NPAP’s important mission and community-driven goals.
