MacDonald Hoague & Bayless is thrilled to announce the addition of Zsa Zsa DePaolo as an Associate Attorney in our Immigration Practice Group.

With over twenty years of experience as an Immigration Judge at the U.S. Department of Justice's Executive Office for Immigration Review in San Diego, California, Zsa Zsa brings invaluable expertise to our firm. During her tenure as an Immigration Judge, she presided over removal proceedings on San Diego's detained dockets, making critical determinations on the impact of criminal offenses on immigration status and eligibility for relief from removal. Zsa Zsa also adjudicated applications for Asylum, Withholding, and Torture Convention relief, further expanding her knowledge in these areas.

Before serving as an Immigration Judge, Zsa Zsa worked as a Trial Attorney for the Immigration and Naturalization Service, where she prosecuted deportation cases and specialized in employer sanctions and search and seizure matters in the Seattle District. Her early immigration career began at the Hispanic Legal Action Program, where she played an active role in community outreach and facilitated the legalization process for undocumented immigrants and families under the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986. Zsa Zsa also gained experience in criminal law as a practitioner with the Eastside Defender Association and the Washington Appellate Defenders Association in Seattle.

With her vast experience in complex removal and asylum cases, Zsa Zsa DePaolo brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep commitment to serving clients in the field of immigration law. At MHB, Zsa Zsa will work with individuals seeking asylum and relief from removal and help them navigate complex issues stemming from criminal arrests and convictions. She will also assist companies in securing temporary work visas and employment-based permanent resident status for international talent and represent U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents wishing to sponsor family members for immigration status. We are confident that her expertise will greatly enhance our Immigration Practice Group and further our mission of providing exceptional legal representation to our clients.

Please join us in welcoming Zsa Zsa DePaolo to MacDonald Hoague & Bayless.
