Zsa Zsa DePaolo
ZsaZsaD@mhb.comZsa Zsa comes to MacDonald Hoague and Bayless after having served for more than twenty years as an Immigration Judge with the U.S. Department of Justice’s Executive Office for Immigration Review in San Diego, California. Zsa Zsa adjudicated removal proceedings on San Diego’s detained dockets and has a wealth of experience making determinations on the impact of criminal offenses on immigration status and eligibility for relief from removal. Zsa Zsa’s practice also included the adjudication of applications for Asylum, Withholding and Torture Convention relief.
Prior to taking the bench, Zsa Zsa was a Trial Attorney for the Immigration and Naturalization Service where she prosecuted deportation cases and was the Seattle District’s employer sanctions and search and seizure specialist. Zsa Zsa began her immigration career working for the Hispanic Legal Action Program where she was involved in community outreach and legalization of undocumented immigrants and families pursuant to the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986. Zsa Zsa also practiced criminal law in Seattle with the Eastside Defender Association and the Washington Appellate Defenders Association.
