Keenen McMurray

Keenen joined MHB in 2025 as the 2025-2027 Civil Rights Litigation Fellow. He graduated from the University of Michigan Law School in 2025. While in Law School, Keenen worked as a student attorney with the Michigan Civil Rights Litigation Initiative and the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. Keenen also worked as a student attorney in the Michigan Child Welfare Appellate Clinic, where he advocated for parents challenging the termination of their parental rights. Prior to law school, Keenen completed two terms of service with AmeriCorps, where he helped design and run lunchtime and afterschool programming for high school-aged youth.

While at MHB, Keenen’s practice has focused primarily in the areas of police accountability, the First Amendment rights of incarcerated persons, and employment discrimination.
